3.5 stars I was a little reluctant to pick up this book when I first saw it because it was a lot different from the genres I usually read. But I wanted to try something new, so I made a trip to the library and luckily, the book was there, like it was waiting for me all along lol.
So yeah, it's basically about laurel, a young girl who starts taking meth, a drug her boyfriend introduces her to. I really liked the author's writing style because it was really unique and I had never seen it done before.
What I didn't like was how the author kept switching it from present to past and it was done in a confusing way (not enough for me to lose interest, though) It's not really that big of a deal but it did confuse me for a bit cause I kept going back to see where it had stopped the last time we were in the past.
Overall, it was a good book and Moses was absolutely my favorite character, though he doesn't come in till like half the book.
